Tinubu: Why Osinbajo should be impeached with Buhari – Ohanaeze …

The National Assembly should impeach Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and President Muhammadu Buhari, according to the leading Igbo sociopolitical group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

Buhari and Osinbajo, according to Ohanaeze, have fallen short in their main duty of safeguarding Nigerians.

The organization claimed that Buhari and Osinbajo’s incapacity to defend Nigerians demonstrates a lack of leadership in governance.

Recall that the Senate had threatened to send Buhari impeachment notices due to his inability to address the nation’s security issues.

The minority caucus in the Senate issued Buhari a six-week deadline to address the nation’s security issues.

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, stands to gain if Osinbajo is excused from the impeachment procedure, according to Ohanaeze, who responded.

Ohanaeze warned the National Assembly that if the impeachment threats against President Buhari were to be taken seriously, Vice President Yemi Osibanjo would have to be included in the process because both of them had failed Nigerians. “The exemption of the Vice President, from the impeachment threats, shows that APC Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu stands to be a major beneficiary,” said Ohanaeze.

If Osinbajo is elected president, Ohanaeze warned that he would make mistakes that would favor Tinubu in the 2023 election.

Ndigbo reminds the National Assembly that attempts to begin the impeachment procedure against President Buhari without Vice President Osibanjo are unfinished processes that will provide doors and opportunities for the Vice President to play an ethnic card for the West. Regardless of whether he runs against Tinubu in the APC primary, he will use his position to Bola Tinubu’s advantage, which is at odds with Mr. President’s body language, which suggests that he is hesitant to influence the 2023 elections for anyone other than the candidate that Nigerians choose to vote for. If Buhari is impeached, Osibanjo must follow suit because both men are to blame for the nation’s growing security issues.

“Ndigbo supports any threats of impeachment by the National Assembly, but it must serve as a wake-up call for the President and Vice President to be active with their duties. If they continue to be onlookers and things go wrong, the National Assembly should not exonerate the Vice President for the notice of impeachment, as Tinubu stands to benefit if only Buhari is impeached.”
